The 8 Step Process

Working with you, we’ll establish your vision, objectives, requirements, budget and goals. This stage allows us to align the design and building efforts with expectations.

2. Feasibility Assessment:

Evaluating the feasibility of the project is essential before proceeding further into design. This involves considering various factors such as site conditions, budget constraints, regulatory requirements, and technical considerations to determine if the project is viable.

3. Conceptual Design:

Once the feasibility is established, we can begin translating your ideas into conceptual designs. This stage involves developing initial plans, sketches, renderings, or 3D models to visually represent the project, and give you a clear understanding of the proposed designs.

4. Design Development:

After we’ve established the concept and got your approval, we will move on to the detailed design phase. This involves creating comprehensive architectural drawings and or engineering plans, and specifications that highlight the elements and materials used on your project.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

It's essential to navigate the necessary rules, regulations, and permitting processes relating to your project. This ensures compliance with local building code rules and regulations, obtaining necessary approvals, and addressing any potential issues that may arise.

6. Construction & Project Management:

Once the design is finalized and all necessary approvals are obtained, construction can commence. Effective project management is crucial at this stage to oversee the construction process, manage funding, timelines, coordinate sub-contractors, ensure quality control and supervise the design details are correct.

7. Client Communication:

Throughout the project, maintaining open and transparent communication with you is vital. It’s important to keep you informed with updates, and progress reports, whilst addressing any questions or concerns you might have. This helps keep the project running smoothly and consistently whilst maintaining the expectations that may arise.

8. Project Completion:

After the construction and punch list is finished, a final inspection and walk-through is conducted with you to ensure we have delivered on our promise. This would mark the successful completion of your project, and you can enjoy the result of Design Build Workshops collaborative efforts.
